According to the schedule, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals (Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals) was scheduled to be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 17. Also, a match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals (Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals) is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on April 16.

But recently BCCI has rescheduled these two matches. According to the latest schedule, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals on the 17th will be held one day earlier on 16th. Also, the match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans, scheduled to be held on the 16th, will be held one day late on the 17th. But only the dates of these two matches have changed. There are no changes in venues. The matches will be held at the same venues. All other matches will continue as usual. However, BCCI has not revealed the reason for the rescheduling of these two matches.

However, according to a PTI report, the match schedule between Kolkata and Rajasthan has been changed due to Sri Rama Navami on April 17. Ramnavami celebrations are held on a grand scale in Kolkata. This requires heavy police security. On the other hand, there is also the election rush. Due to this, if the match is held on the same day, there is a possibility of a problem in terms of security. The police told the Bengal Cricket Association about this. The Bengal Cricket Association brought the matter to the attention of the BCCI.

Due to this, BCCI has made changes to the match schedule. Whereas in Bengal general election polling is being conducted in 7 phases. Rajasthan Royals, who have achieved a hat-trick of victories, are currently in the first position in the points table. Kolkata Knight Riders with two wins are in the second position, Chennai Super Kings are in the third position with two wins out of three, and Gujarat Titans are in the fourth position with two wins out of three.
