No matter how many steps the Election Commission is taking, there is no change in the ysrcp leaders. The YSRCP had hatched several conspiracies in the polling held yesterday (Monday) across AP. It has indulged in large scale lawlessness and rioting in many districts.
It is reported that several irregularities were planned at the EVM strong rooms today (Tuesday). YSRCP leaders are attacking telugu desam party (TDP) leaders who are guarding the strong rooms. Ysrcp leaders attempted to kill Tdp MLA candidate pulivarthi Nani in Chandragiri.
Sudden attack
Nani and his wife Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy were attacked by some YSRCP cadres. The incident took place near the strong room of The Padmavati Women’s University. Pulivarthi Nani came to the spot after receiving information that an attempt was being made to tamper with the EVMs at the strong room. Nani saw the large number of YSRCP activists at this time and questioned them. However, during this time, they suddenly attacked Nani.
Nani’s security personnel were injured in the incident while the car was damaged. In protest against the attack, the alliance leaders staged a sit-in on the main road of the varsity. Pulivarthi Nani’s car was damaged and gunman Dharani sustained serious injuries. More than 150 people came with rods and knives and attacked them and terrorised them, the LEADERS of the NDA alliance alleged.
The attack was carried out under the leadership of Nadiallur sarpanch Ganapathi, YSRCP leader Bhanu and his followers from Ramapuram. Chevireddy described the incident as an act of cowardice. The attacks were carried out out of fear of defeat. A large number of slogans were raised against Chevireddy. Alliance leaders and activists have made it clear that they will not call off the agitation until the YSRCP mobs involved in the attack are arrested.
The NDA activists rushed to the women’s university campus after receiving information about the attack. Acting on a tip-off that the accused were present there, a search operation was launched on the side of the Padmavathi Women’s University tree. A car in the area where the attack took place was damaged with YSRCP flags, liquor bottles and firearms in it.
Nani and the alliance leaders questioned what the police were doing when ysrcp goons were roaming freely with firearms in the area where a strong room was set up in the women’s university campus. With this incident, the women’s university campus has turned into a battlefield. Heavy police force rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
