It is known that the state government has already announced that the notification of local elections will be given after the results of the MP elections in June. In this regard, arrangements are being made in all districts. Election material and necessary proposals are being prepared. There are 1,740 Gram Panchayats (Sarpanch) and 72 Mandals across the entire district. The government has clarified that the elections will be held according to the existing reservations.

According to the new law, the same reservation has been finalized for two terms. In relation to the first term, while the tenure of Panchayats ends in February, the tenure of Zilla Parishads ends in July. So the election notification will come in June.

Direct election notification

The existing reservations from panchayat (Sarpanch)wards to the post of ZP chairman will continue as usual. However, during the assembly elections, the then BRS government announced some new mandals. Clarity should come from the Congress government in this regard. Apart from these, there will be no change in the reservation of other seats. It is expected to issue the election notification directly and complete the election campaign and nomination process within a week or ten days.

Officials say that the government is thinking that there will be no political problems if the MPTC and ZPTC elections are held first and the Sarpanch elections are held a few days apart. The district ministers are of the view that due to this, the Congress will not only capture the majority of the seats but also avoid the emergence of class war with the leaders who have migrated. District Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy has already announced a bumper offer to give priority to the leaders who have struggled in the local body elections.

Priority will be given to local leaders who have secured majority in MP elections. Moreover, he promised to bear their election expenses. As a result, all those who had hoped for the posts of ZP Chairman, ZPTC and Sarpanch in the MP elections had a hard time in the MP elections. More than 80 percent polling has been recorded in Tipparthi Mandal of Nalgonda Constituency.

It is from here that the current ZPTC Pasam Ram Reddy is hoping for the seat of the ZP Chairman next time. As a part of this, funds of Rs.5 crore were also sanctioned for the development of Tipparti Clock Tower Junction. Similarly, Minister Komatireddy sanctioned another Rs.5 crore for the development of Kanagalmandala junction. In this way, the Congress party has been focusing on the development works since now so that the Congress party will not be defeated in the local body elections.

Perfect election plan..

The Congress party is confident of winning double digit seats in the MP elections. If the local elections are held with the same enthusiasm, it is expected that there will not be another election for five years. By the end of this year, the elections to the municipality and cooperative societies will also be completed. The Congress is well planning the Gram Panchayat (Sarpanch) and Zilla Parishad elections to be held before that.

During the Assembly and Parliament elections, representatives of local organizations from BRS joined the Congress. Among them are many old Congress leaders and newly elected public representatives from BRS.

They are already taking care not to create differences in the local elections between the colonial leaders and the hardened Congress leaders. Congress feels that if the election notification for Panchayat(Sarpanch )and JDP elections is given at the same time, the opponents will not have a chance and moreover, the way to capture the local bodies will be easy.
