Telangana: DGP Ravi Gupta said that the election arrangements in Telangana have been completed. Speaking to Media on Sunday, DGP Ravi Gupta asked all the people to exercise their right to vote fearlessly. He said that all the arrangements have been completed so that such an untoward incident does not happen anywhere. 73,414 people said that arrangements have been made with the police. He said that security arrangements have been made with 164 Central Armed Forces including 500 Telangana Special Force units.

Hyderabad, May 12: DGP Ravi Gupta said that the arrangements for Loksabha Elections 2024 in Telangana have been completed. Telangana DGP Ravi Gupta spoke to Media on Sunday . He said that all the arrangements have been completed so that such an untoward incident does not happen anywhere. 73,414 people said that arrangements have been made with the police. He said that security arrangements have been made with 164 Central Armed Forces including 500 Telangana Special Force units. He said that 7,000 home guards of other states have been deployed.. 89 inter-state border check-posts and 173 inter-district check-posts have been set up. The DGP said that three districts across the state have been identified as Naxal-affected areas.

He said that liquor and drugs worth Rs.186 crores were seized.. 8,863 cases were registered in connection with the inspections. Security has been arranged with central forces in the Maoist-affected area. He warned that strict action will be taken if false propaganda is spread on social media. He said that a separate cyber security wing has been set up for social media. Special check posts with paramilitary forces have been set up at the borders of the state. He clarified that strict action will be taken if objectionable posts are posted on social media. DGP Ravi Gupta revealed that there will be special surveillance on social media through cyber security wing.
